THM Honors African Americans in Upcoming Exhibit



The Tulare Historical Museum honors influential African Americans in upcoming exhibit, African American Trailblazers of Tulare County. The display will highlight the accomplishments and hardships of Colonel Allen Allensworth, founder of the historic town Allensworth, and Colonel Charles Young, the first African American national park Superintendent at the Sequoia National Park.


The exhibit will be on view from February 3rd – 28th in the museum’s Depot Gallery. An opening reception will be held on Thursday, Feb. 3rd from 5-7pm.
