"Art is in the Air"
The Tulare Palette Club's Art Show is here at the Tulare Historical Museum. The show opened May 5 and will remain on display through Saturday, June 2nd, when it will close with an artists reception at 2:00 p.m. Dozens of artists are displaying works in a variety of media, including oil/acrylic/encaustic, watercolor, pastel, mixed media, pen, pencil and computer-generated art. The "Best of Show" winner will receive $100. The popular vote winner will be decided by the public, and that artist will receive $50. Ribbons for first, second and third will be awarded in various categories. The featured artists this year are a "Creative Pair," Jim and Aurelia Saenz of Tulare. The show can be viewed during normal museum hours, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday through Saturday, and from 12:30 - 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 20. For information please call Wanda Cottengim
